How It All Began

In 1999, we registered our first domain: HookedOnThe.Net. After all, we were hooked on the net, and having just signed up for DSL service, we decided to go all out and register our own domain. We chose the name because it conveniently took advantage of the .net extension, incorporating it into our overall name.

With broadband access to the net, we began to experiment with web and ftp servers, setting up accounts for some of our friends. However, it quickly became apparent that DSL, although fast, was not adequate for use by more than 3 or 4 users at a time. When a friend offered to pay for a faster, more reliable hosting service, we moved our domain to an NT server in a data center and began offering hosting services on that server.

Gradually, our clientele grew, due in a large part to word-of-mouth and our focus on customer service. We also began receiving requests for lower cost Unix web hosting. So, at the beginning of 2002, we moved MadnessMansion.com to a Unix server, registered GlobalCyberCity.com and set each of these 2 domains up as low cost hosting communities. Shortly thereafter, we also registered emissives.com and began offering premium email services.

By the end of 2002, we moved all of our NT clients to our Unix-based servers and discontinued offering NT-based hosting services. Shortly after the beginning of 2003, we added several new services and new domains to our expanding list of service offerings.

With both our clientele and service offerings expanding, we realized that we needed a company name under which all of our services and their associated domains could be organized. We decided on the name Anoetic Concepts. Anoetic Concepts currently owns and operates the following domains and their associated services:

AnoeticConcepts.com
Emissives.com
GlobalCyberCity.com
HookedOnThe.Net
MadnessMansion.com
UltraHost.US
UltraWeb.US

We look forward to serving you under any of these domains.
